The Story of the Golden Hoosier Starts With the End of Prohibition.

When you walk into The Golden Hoosier, you can feel the rich history. There’s a reason. The building at 3707 S. Kingshighway has been a neighborhood watering hole since the 1930s. When it became vacant a few years ago it left a noticeable void in our community. A community that we stumbled upon over twenty years ago. We quickly fell in love with the architecture and no-nonsense, hard-working people of South City. We live, work, play, and are raising our families here.  Even though we had no prior bar/restaurant experience, the more we talked to prospective tenants about filling the void, the more we realized how truly special this place could be.  Something we couldn’t leave to chance.  Something that deserved out commitment.
